Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 1, 2026
Intended Users
Scoopy Log is intended for use by parents or legal guardians. Children do not use the app directly.
What Data We Store
The data you enter in the app is stored only on your device and, when you are signed into iCloud, in your personal iCloud account. We do not collect or store this data on our servers. This includes:
- Sleep tracking entries (times, durations)
- Feeding entries (type, time, notes)
- Diaper change entries (type, time)
- Growth measurements (weight, height, date)
- Child profile information (name, birth date, optional photo)
How Data Is Stored
On-Device Storage: Your data is stored on your device by default. We do not have access to data stored on your device.
Optional iCloud Sync: When you are signed into iCloud on your device, Scoopy Log may store and sync your data (profiles, logs, and optional profile photos) in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This data remains in your private iCloud account, which is managed by Apple. We do not have access to your iCloud data. You can stop syncing by signing out of iCloud in your device's system Settings, or by using the app's "Reset App Data" feature (which also clears data from iCloud for this app).
Analytics (Scoopy Log iOS app)
We use Google Firebase Analytics in the Scoopy Log iOS app to understand aggregated usage—for example, onboarding steps and subscription screens—so we can improve the app. Firebase processes technical and usage information (such as in-app interactions and device/app identifiers used for analytics).
What we do not send to Firebase: We configure analytics so that events do not include your child's name, your email address, or free-text notes you enter in the app.
Firebase is provided by Google LLC. How Google handles information is described in Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not use Firebase Analytics to sell your personal information. We do not use the iOS app to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising (for example, we do not use the app for cross-app advertising measurement in that sense). Apple's App Store privacy label for Scoopy Log lists analytics data as collected for Analytics and not used for tracking.
Analytics (this website)
This site (scoopylog.app) may use Google Analytics (tags and cookies) as described in the cookie notice on this page. That is separate from analytics in the iOS app.
What We Do Not Do
Scoopy Log does not:
- Sell your logbook content or your child's profile data
- Share your logbook content (profiles, sleep/feeding/diaper/growth entries, notes, photos) with data brokers or advertisers
- Operate our own servers to store your logbook data—your entries stay on your device and, if you use it, your private iCloud
- Use the iOS app for cross-app advertising tracking as defined by Apple (we use Firebase for product analytics, not for personalized ads across third-party apps)
- Perform AI profiling or automated behavioral analysis of your child
- Collect health data from Apple Health or clinical APIs (we do not connect HealthKit for tracking)
On-device event logging: Separately from Firebase, the app may record certain first-party timestamps or feature-use markers only on your device (for example via OS logging and local storage). That on-device information is not sent to our servers; it is not a substitute for the Firebase disclosure described above.
Data Security
Your data is protected by iOS security features. If you use iCloud sync, your data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple's iCloud infrastructure.
Permissions
The app may request access to:
- Notifications — to send you reminders (e.g. to log sleep or feeding) and to support iCloud sync between your devices.
- Camera and Photo Library — only to add or save profile photos for your child's profile.
You can change these in your device Settings at any time.
Your Rights
You can delete your data at any time by using the app's "Reset App Data" feature (Settings → Data & Privacy) or by deleting the app. If you use iCloud, you can stop sync by signing out of iCloud in your device settings.
Subscriptions and Payments
All subscription payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not receive or store payment information.
